About Play Locals
Play Locals is a platform built to connect local racket sports players.
Whether you're after a friendly session or a competitive match, we help you find like-minded players in your area and arrange a game.
We're starting in Brighton & Hove with tennis, with plans to expand to other cities and sports over time.
Why we built it
Finding someone to play tennis with shouldn't be complicated. Booking a court is easy - see our full list of Brighton & Hove courts. Finding the right person to share it with - someone at a similar level, with similar availability, who just wants to get out and play - is often the hard part.
Traditional league formats can add pressure and time commitments that don't suit everyone. We wanted to remove those barriers and make it simple for players of any level to connect locally and get on court.
What we believe in
Keeping it local. We focus on connecting players within the same city or area, so getting on court is always realistic rather than a logistical challenge.
No pressure. We don't produce league tables or record scores against your profile. You decide whether your session is a casual rally or a competitive match - that's between you and your fellow player.
Privacy first. Your phone number is only ever shared when both players agree to play. Players who decline your request - or whose requests you decline - will never see your contact details.
Free to use. Play Locals is completely free to sign up and use. Create your profile, browse local players, and send play requests at no cost.
